In 1985, a cartoon program called The "Wuzzles" debuted on CBS, running for only a single season. This children's show was made by Disney, and centered around unique creatures called Wuzzles. Each Wuzzle was actually a combination of two totally different animals. A line of plush toys was developed to go along with the show. Made by Hasbro, there were initially six plush Wuzzles characters, each one available in two sizes. These were:
Bumblelion: a Bumblebee/Lion combo
Butterbear: a butterfly/bear combo
Eleroo: an elephant/kangaroo combo
Moosel: a moose/harp seal combo
Rhinokey: a rhinoceros/monkey combo
Hoppopotamus: a rabbit/hippopotamus combo
An addition six plush characters were then made- these were the Wuzzle Cousins. They are:
Koalakeet: a koala/parakeet combo
Pandeaver: a panda/beaver combo
Piggypine: a pig/porcupine combo
Skowl: a skunk/owl combo
Tycoon: a tiger/raccoon combo
Woolrus: a walrus/sheep combo
There was a line of Wuzzle Babies made, but they were not sold in the United States at all, and are very rare.
